Here are the 'bios' of the characters that I think will need someone special to role play them, these generally have a part in one of my mini-plots, no favoritism is shown and it is basically first come first served as long as the person that comes first is good enough to play the character. To claim a character post this bio, plus your own addition of the example post, in the normal board to be approved as a normal character would.
Cairon of Larris the Overlord of the Eslantian empire, he is ruthless and cruel but it was not always so, whoever plays this character must be prepared he is nasty by nature, I don't want someone who will forfeit this nature to suit the needs of the post at hand, however I am prepared to be lenient when it comes to the evil part of his nature, evil and nasty are to completely different things...
Name:
Cairon of Larris
Age:
37
Gender:
Male
Race:
Eslantian
Magic Ability or Creature:
Elemental Magic - Fire
Personality:
A nasty individual through and through with a ruthless personality and a sly, assertive nature. He is inclined to take risks and cares little for the outcome of his decisions, with an inborn knack for shirking responsibility he knows the effect a war will have on Ariafrost he simply just does not care, at all. Underneath all the bravado there is a hard and durable determination, he has set his sight on the goal, now he has to achieve it, at whatever cost to himself and those that care most about him. He is born down by the grief of losing his wife, that coupled by the anger he feels towards he who he blames, is enough to cause any man to fall apart, only Cairon didn't fall apart, go mad or throw into a blind rage, he fosters his anger, into terminating the other realms, to destroy everything and assert the Eslantian rule far and wide. He does not truly understand the concept of love, he felt a great deal for his wife, but it had been an arranged marriage, he feels that he could have found a better wife, an Eslantian wife, although he did indeed love his wife he does not acknowledge that he did, the son that she bore him he does not respect, a weakling that inherited his mothers powers. He is full of a pent up rage that he takes out daily on whomever is closest, as he has not seen his son in just under a year then it is the servants, the slaves and the soldiers that take the brunt of his anger. A great anger that will destroy the whole of Ariafrost. The fact that scares everyone the most is his calmness, he is at his most deadly when he is calm, collected, feared. He is deadly silent when he has delivered his most d**ning of orders. He is a military man, with a whole life of training and giving orders under his belt, when he speaks, nations crumble.
Appearance:
Short black hair that is tussled over his eyes, startling icy blue eyes that are indeed as cold as his personally is. He is a typical Eslantian, with tanned skin and a high, regal like bone structure. It is perhaps amusing to think that the royal line of the Eslantians is one of the only remaining families that keeps the old age tanned skin of their ancestors. Always in royal blue Cairon is very affirmative in dress sense; all in blue he wears a doublet and hose, black shoes and generally a blue cloak. He is average in height but makes up for it for it my icy looks and an air of command that only a few men in the world can hold, whenever he speaks people listen and obey blindly, without question this is not a man that you want to mess with. Always at his side is a sword, which belonged to his father, and his grandfather, a sword that has been passed down through the line of Overlords for as long as anyone can remember, it is still in fine condition and he uses it with deadly precision.
History:
Where can we start in the life of one so hated and feared? He was third in line for the throne by the time he was eight, three of his brothers, his eldest brothers, had fallen in battle to one of his fathers campaigns, by the time he was fifteen he was heir to the throne of a nation that had lived through a lifetime of war, his fathers desperate attempt to claim the rule over the Vevastians was failing fast due to his lack of generals, as a young man he excelled in sword craft and when he was eighteen he expected than any day to receive word from his father to join him on the battlefield, but that order never came, instead he was told he was to marry a noblewoman from a high house, an Astorian. He was disappointed, but not overly so, his father bade him remain in Astoria with his new wife, over the course of the years they lived in peace in Astoria and when their son, Kaison was born, Cairons live seemed perfect.
His best friend since childhood, Astor of Myceni, was keeping an eye on the military situation of both Astoria and the Eslantian war host, eight years passed and his father died, struck from the back of his horse by an arrow and the war was finally over, the young monarch had no desire to return home, he was content to remain in Astoria, but it seemed that the Vevastians wanted revenge for the years of war, they weren't about to let the new Overlord live peacefully and happily. They sent an assassin to kill Isabella, his wife and his son, they killed his wife but the child was spared, they had unwittingly made a monster. For a time Cairon went mad with rage blaming his best friend, Astor for all that happened. He returned to Eslantia, with his son with anger raging in his heart, he gathered a war host determined to rule over Astoria. He sent his son into the army, even as young as he was. He marched on Astoria and had it not been for the courage of Astor then all might have been lost.
You see, Astor had been keeping a close eye on the military of all the races, he knew vital information, information that Cairon needed if he was to literally rule the world. When the Eslantian forces trapped the Astorian forces in a cavern, it would have been a massacre, however Astor offered himself, in exchange the Eslantian army was to withdraw and not wage war on his homeland or any of the others until two years had come and gone. Cairon blinded by rage and the prospect of revenge, agreed, he withdrew his forces and took Astor back to Bellicarnus, there he was torn with indecision, remembering all the years they had spent together, they had fought together as comrades in arms they had been brothers in all but name. For Astor would never willingly give up the information he held, he had no options but one, and he dare not give the order. For the first month, he reserved judgment, leaving Astor to languish in a prison cell, waiting for his fate.
It was around this time that he lost what little patience he had left, he was unable to invade, break or kill anyone, and he was not taking it well, he refused to see his son, he reminded him too much of his wife, he kept telling himself that one day he would see his son, but that day never came. He ordered that the information Astor had be taken, by force. He himself didn't dwell on the order, it bought back memories of the past, memories that made him weak, and he had no time for weakness. Astor proved to hard for the Imperial torturers to break, a year later he was still holding out.
He called for his son, now fifteen years old, and already showing the same fire as his mother, for the first time in as many years he saw his son, it was...traumatic to say the least, a lot of harsh words were exchanged and Kaison told Cairon some home truths, Cairon would not take this, not from his son, not from anyone, he sent his son away and gave orders to forbid Kaison see him. He planned the war, all would fall, starting with the Astorians, they thought they were safe in their little forest? They were wrong, nothing and no one would be able to save them this time, not Astor, he was lying half dead in a cell in the palace. Not his son, the young boy who had yet to become a man, not even the gods would be able to save the world from what he had in mind.
